WebMux Network Traffic Manager fully supports the load balancing requirements for Oracle’s E-Business Suite system. Areas where load balancing are implemented include the Web services, Forms services, and Concurrent processing servers.
Oracle’s EBS requires the load balancer be configured with the connection persistence scheduling method. This is easily done with WebMux by choosing any of the persistent scheduling method options when creating a farm.
The WebMux Network Traffic Manager appliance model is required to support single or multiple entry points where it supports multiple farm configurations and MAP (multiple address/ports for single farms. This accommodates Oracle EBS system’s OC4J clustering feature utilizing the Application Server built-in load balancing capacity at the JVM level to distribute OC4J requests among multiple nodes, providing fault tolerance.
