Name resolution via DNS queries make things easier to remember. Instead of having to know a string of digits, such as an IP address like 192.168.100.10, all you need to remember is the hostname and domain name, such as www.avanu.com. You supply the WebMux with DNS servers for name resolution so that you can use the domain names for these particular administrative settings. This is helpful should the IPs for the names periodically change. The domain name resolution will ensure that the WebMux maintains accurate information for sending email notifications and NTP time updates.
