NAT Mode with External Users

Concepts: NAT Mode with External Users

  • WebMux in 2-ARM LAN NAT mode serving external users
  • WebMux  has farm IP addresses on the “Router”/Internet side for load balanced access to the back-end servers
  • The WebMux has an internal IP address, its “Server LAN Gateway” address, which the back-end servers use ad their default gateway. (This IP address floats with the farm IP addresses in an HA failover situation)
Internal servers use the WebMux as their default gateway. The WebMux in a High Availability (HA) paired configuration will share that gateway address called the Server LAN Gateway
